Axfelt 65 was conceived and built in conjunction with commissioned University research and extensive trials which proved its ability to outperform other underfelts. The University research provided Axminster Carpets Ltd with performance targets that Axfelt 65 meets and, in a number of cases, actually exceeds.

The advantages of Axfelt 65 at-a-glance

1. increases the wear and appearance retention of the carpet
by acting as a shock absorber to the dynamic loads of foot traffic.
2. provides increased resilience and under foot comfort.
3. dramatically increases thermal insulation, stopping the loss of heat to the sub floor, and cutting fuel bills.
4. increases the acoustic absorption decibel level, reducing impact noise
transmission through the sub floor, cutting noise levels between floors.
5. acts as an ideal support to the back of carpet, offering the major advantages of wool - resilience, quality and lower flammability characteristics than synthetic fibres.
6. engineered to exceed the performance criteria of the available British Standard B.S.5808.1991 and the proposed European Standard prEN 14499.
