OVERVIEW
Texture is how a material feels when you touch it. When you
are choosing colours for your room, always be aware that texture
can make a dramatic difference to the overall atmosphere.
Smooth
surfaces reflect light and dull surfaces absorb it. A colour
painted on a wall looks lighter than the same colour in a
thick pile carpet. Silk or gloss paint appears lighter than
matt finish.
