COLOUR & ROOM SIZE
Colour can affect how big or small your room appears. If you
want to create an intimate space, consider using darker colours.
If you want to make the space look bigger, think about using
lighter, less saturated colours.
If
you have a low ceiling it will appear higher if your paint
it a lighter colour than the walls.
Be
aware that large boldly coloured patterns are less suitable
for smaller rooms compared to more subtly coloured plain or
patterned carpets, as they can be very dominant and make the
room appear cluttered. On the other hand, plain carpets can
sometimes make a large room look empty and uninteresting.
