COLOUR
& LIGHT
Obviously, light colours can brighten a room where there is
not a lot of natural light. But it's worth considering that
a dark carpet can work well by adding a more balanced feel
to a bright room full of neutral tones.
If
your room is facing north, you may want to consider brighter,
warmer colours, such as reds, rusts and yellows, to counter
the lack of natural light.
If
you face south with a sunny aspect, the option might be to
go for cooler blues greens or greys to add a balance. Cool
without being cold, these colours also add a feeling of space.
