Commitment to quality
As a company Axminster Carpets Ltd is committed to creating and producing all products and processes to world class quality standards.
Over the years Axminster Carpets employees have won awards in various arenas for excellence in their field. Axminster Carpets most prolific prize winners are Tony Moore, Phil Dale and Dick Gillingham, who have been driving Axminster Carpets lorries for a number of years.
Prizes have been won at various competitions over the years:
Recent awards include:
- Peterborough – 2nd in fleet, 1st in rigid class, 3rd best in show, best rigid 3yrs in a row and best rigid 3yrs and over for the United Truckers (Tony Phil and Dick are all members of the United Truckers).
- West point, Exeter – 3rd in the Fleet
- Truckex – Cirencester – 2nd in fleet
- Peterborough Truckfest – 1st rigid class & 2nd best vehicle in show
- This year Tony also won Best Company owned vehicle
In June this year, Dick and Tony joined a convoy of fifty other United Truckers heading for Longleat in Wiltshire to raise money for children with special needs via the Clubs AGM dinner and dance.
The lorries can be seen on weekdays travelling up and down the country’s roads.
